I am Juliane Zelger
Sexologist M.A., and this is my story
Sexuality has always been a topic that fascinated me, and I could spend hours discussing sex with friends. Had I known ten years ago that it was possible to study sexology, my path might have been a bit more straightforward. But in this way, I was able to gather many life experiences for which I am very grateful today.
After finishing high school, I set out to explore the world beyond my paradise home village in the Dolomites. I traveled through Asia, was fascinated by spirituality, and discovered various meditation schools and practices that continue to support me in everyday life and also inform my counseling work.
Later, I began my Bachelor’s in Sociology in Innsbruck. It was very interesting, but the societal and academic perspective wasn’t enough for me—I wanted to get closer to people. So, alongside my studies, I started training as a nutritionist in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). I fell in love with the holistic approach of this system.
While writing my diploma thesis on menstruation and my bachelor’s thesis on emancipation in female sexuality, I discovered the Master’s program in Sexology. The combination of a scientific and a holistic approach immediately appealed to me.
For three years, I studied alongside work at Hochschule Merseburg and completed my Master of Arts in March 2023. During my studies, I had already started working as a sexual counselor and, since 2021, I have been guiding people on their journey toward a pleasurable and fulfilling sexuality.
I love my profession and am deeply grateful to be able to share my knowledge and expertise.
